If you’re struggling to come up with low cost weekend activity ideas for the family, here’s a handy list of just a few events being held this month in Brisbane.

Great for the whole family to join in, you’re sure to find something to entertain the little ones as well as yourself.

1. GOMA; “Sugar Spin: you, me, art and everything” plus more.

GOMA has an array of fantastic art exhibitions running this month, including the amazing wall of fur and kids’ workshop as part of the “Sugar Spin” exhibition.

Also for the kids to enjoy is a giant slide and a room full of live finches.

2. Little Days Out: Boppin’ Babies

If you have young children and would like to inspire them with music, then this event is perfect for you and your baby.

Qualified musical therapists help your children develop their music skills and imagination through song and playing instruments. Designed for babies and kids up to 5 years old, it’ll teach them how to unleash their creativity and perhaps your child will find an instrument they love.

3. The Sleeping Beauty Ballet

Nothing excites a little girl more than going to see the ballet. Set to the classic Tchaikovsky score, the Australian Ballet presents a fantasy world with beautiful set designs and costumes that will amaze and delight the whole family.

Create a memorable evening for your family with Sleeping Beauty at QPAC this month.

Cost: From $39.00 a ticket (child) and $64.00 a ticket (adult)

Running: From February 24 until March 4

4. Logan Car Show

Take a small trip down to Logan to view some amazing cars and motorbikes, as well as enjoy some live entertainment and rides. It’s a great idea for the whole family.

If you and your family appreciate vintage or fast cars, then this will be the ultimate day out.
